Coaching Service

What benefits would someone gain from working with a coach?

We work with individuals to address questions such as:

  • Is your leadership style lacking inspiration?
  • Do you wish to have more impact and influence?
  • Would you like to rediscover the meaning and purpose of your work?
  • Do you need some help understanding why sometimes you succeed and sometimes you fail in your professional challenges?
  • Would you like to learn how to take on greater responsibilities without adding to your stress levels?

The Preston Partnership's Coaching Service addresses all of the above issues and more, and our highly skilled staff will focus on an individual's aims with a development programme tailored to suit their unique requirements. We recognise the increased pressures and workloads that are placed on managers, directors and other key players in today's workplace, and we emphasise the importance of taking time out to review and assess personal effectiveness and performance within the organisation.

The Coaching Service stands alone as a precise development tool and has shown to work equally successfully running alongside a structured management/leadership development exercise where generic themes can be personalised and given targeted attention.

The coach/candidate relationship

A development programme comprises a number of coaching sessions (usually three). Each session lasts up to three hours and is conducted away from the workplace. The timing and duration of the programme/sessions is decided upon by the candidate.

The success of any programme is heavily dependent upon the relationship that exists between the candidate and their coach and it is for this reason that both parties meet initially to assess whether they will be able to work together and to lay out suitable ground rules.

The programme usually concludes with a development review meeting with the candidate's manager so the on-going support needs can be planned out.
